Treatment overview
Body contouring at Olive Skin & Aesthetics is a comprehensive sculpting approach that addresses stubborn fat, loose skin, and poor muscle definition across multiple body zones โ achieving a harmonious, proportionate silhouette that diet and exercise alone cannot deliver. We design each programme around the patient’s specific anatomical concerns, weight stability, and aesthetic goals.
Unlike a single isolated procedure, body contouring may combine liposuction, skin excision, muscle repair, and non-surgical modalities in a sequenced plan โ ensuring each zone transitions naturally into the next. The result is a balanced, refined figure that looks and moves naturally, not surgically altered.
Whether you are addressing post-pregnancy changes, the aftermath of significant weight loss, or simply areas that have remained resistant despite a healthy lifestyle, body contouring offers a structured, medically sound pathway to a body that reflects your effort and ambitions.
- Adults at or near their stable target weight with localised fat deposits or areas of skin laxity
- Patients who have experienced significant body changes following pregnancy, weight loss, or ageing
- Individuals with good overall health who are non-smokers or willing to stop smoking well ahead of surgery
- Those seeking improvement across multiple body zones rather than a single isolated area
- Patients with realistic expectations โ body contouring improves shape and proportion but is not a weight-loss treatment
- Adults who have maintained a stable weight for at least 6 months prior to surgery
Body contouring procedures are tailored to each patient’s anatomy and goals. A full consultation includes a detailed body assessment, photography, and a discussion of which combination of techniques will deliver the most balanced result.
Common surgical components include VASER or power-assisted liposuction to remove stubborn fat and refine contours; skin excision procedures such as abdominoplasty, arm lift, or thigh lift where excess skin is present; and muscle plication in the abdomen where diastasis recti is identified.
Procedures may be performed as a single combined session (where safe and appropriate for the patient’s health and the volume of work) or staged across multiple planned surgeries to minimise risk and allow adequate healing between stages. We will always recommend the safest and most effective sequencing for your individual case.
- Days 1โ5: Rest and limited mobility. Compression garments worn continuously. Swelling, bruising, and mild to moderate discomfort managed with prescribed medication.
- Week 1โ2: Drains removed if placed. Light walking encouraged. Showering permitted once wounds are sealed.
- Weeks 3โ6: Gradual return to light work and daily activities. Compression garments continue. Swelling reduces progressively.
- Months 2โ3: Most visible swelling resolved. Contour improvements become clearly apparent. Light exercise resumes.
- Months 4โ6: Final result emerges as residual swelling fully clears and skin redrapes. Scars begin to fade and soften.
- Month 6+: Full result visible. Maintenance of a stable weight and healthy lifestyle preserves outcomes long-term.
