Treatment overview
Breast augmentation is one of the most sought-after cosmetic procedures worldwide, designed to enhance breast size, shape, and symmetry using implants or fat grafting. At Olive Skin & Aesthetics, We combine years of surgical expertise with a refined aesthetic eye to deliver natural-looking, proportionate results. Every augmentation plan is tailored to your anatomy, lifestyle, and personal goals.
The primary goal of breast augmentation is to create fuller, well-proportioned breasts that complement your body frame and boost self-confidence. Whether you seek to restore volume lost after pregnancy, correct asymmetry, or simply achieve a more balanced silhouette, this procedure offers lasting, transformative results.
- Women who feel their breasts are too small relative to their body proportions
- Patients who have experienced volume loss due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight fluctuations
- Individuals with noticeable breast asymmetry they wish to correct
- Women in good overall health who have realistic expectations about surgical outcomes
- Patients who are non-smokers or willing to cease smoking well before and after surgery
Breast augmentation is typically performed under general anaesthesia and takes approximately 2โ3 hours to complete. We use carefully planned incision sitesโmost commonly the inframammary fold or periareolar approachโto minimise visible scarring. The implant is then placed either beneath the pectoral muscle (submuscular) or above it (subglandular), depending on the patientโs tissue characteristics and desired outcome.
We employ the dual-plane technique when appropriate, positioning the implant partially behind the muscle for a smooth, natural slope in the upper pole. A Keller funnel no-touch delivery system is used to reduce the risk of capsular contracture and bacterial contamination.
- Days 1โ3: Moderate swelling and tightness across the chest; prescribed pain medication keeps discomfort manageable. A supportive surgical bra is worn continuously.
- Days 4โ7: Swelling begins to subside; most patients can manage light daily activities. Drains, if placed, are typically removed during this window.
- Weeks 2โ4: Return to desk-based work is usually possible. Heavy lifting and strenuous upper-body exercise remain restricted.
- Months 2โ3: Implants begin to settle into their final position (the โdrop and fluffโ phase). Exercise restrictions are gradually lifted.
- Months 6โ12: Final breast shape and softness are achieved. Scars continue to mature and fade over this period.
